Katie is a theatre-maker and founder of Shining Stars ASN theatre school. Katie set up the theatre group five years ago with an initial weekly class of five children-which has now grown to involve 100 participants of all ages.  Formed in Coatbridge, Shining Stars provides workshops in drama, musical theatre and arts therapy and a Makaton Choir which performed at Westminster. In 2018 she was named alumni of the year by Cumbria University, where she studied drama and performance, in recognition for her work for the community.
