Katrina Lambert
Location: Edinburgh
Katrina has been an activist on gender equality, gender-based violence and youth voice since the age of fifteen. She is the youngest and only Scottish team member of Youth For Change, an entirely youth-led network that has teams in the UK, Bangladesh, and Tanzania each focusing on combatting gender-based violence.
In the UK the focus is Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Child and Early Forced Marriage (CEFM). She is also a spokesperson with Girlguiding Scotland where she has addressed issues such as female representation in politics, period poverty, and gender stereotypes. She was part of the 2018/19 Young Women Lead cohort sitting alongside other young women as part of a Scottish Parliament committee. She has also just been taken on recently as an #IWill ambassador where she’ll be speaking out about youth social action and volunteering.
