I’m a Scottish South Asian who works with several organisations to put on brilliant South Asian cultural events, challenging racial stereotypes and internalised racism. I also am an Astrophysics student who creates. Through my painting, I have explored Pakistani Truck Art Painting and have had my artwork in a gallery this year.

I am the founder of the Glasgow University South Asian Society and the #countmyfollicles campaign. The campaign encourages hair positivity which includes facial, body and head hair. It’s not anti-removal, it’s anti-negativity. I bring different people together and help them grow and utilise their talents to develop different projects. If something needs to be done, there’s always a way to do it. You can do it if you believe it.
