Hi, I’m Erin. I am 11 and I live near Paisley, Scotland. I am ¼ Kenyan and proud of my heritage.

I’m on this list because Mum and I were doing some research just after the start of the first Lockdown and learned that a man who had “greatly improved” our village and who my local primary school had a house named after had in fact built his fortune on slavery, so I started campaigning to get the names changed, finally a couple of weeks ago it was announced that the names are going to change. The school has also decided to create a Diversity and Equality Committee which, given I campaigned to change the House Names, I will be joining.
