Hazel Peters, among many things, is a journalist, poet, and spoken word artist. 

Hazel’s work takes inspiration from her Guyanese-Scottish heritage and experiences as a Black mixed-race woman born and raised in Scotland. As a journalist Hazel was awarded BBC Young Reporter 2021, and has been published in the likes of The Skinny. Hazel is also a co-creator of No Permission Needed Zine – a zine for Black and PoC in Scotland to express themselves without permission.
